Welcome to the Dance...This is your Stage....whatever stage you are IN...here, now.
The Dance is a Space for self-exploration, healing and community building in a non-dogmatic, non-judgmental environment.
Freedom to Move...from the inside-out...to the rhythms of eclectic world music in an alcohol and shoe-free atmosphere-
A healthy club alternative! Absolutely No dance experience necessary.

Utilizing themes, we deepen our collective story to explore facets and angles of the Self... Playing Into Being

Commonly, we focus the direction or intention of the dance with asking-

what are we bringing here....what are we present to or focusing on...what are we gifting life through our bodies, our energy, our dance.....what are we dancing IN...

ALL ages, men and women, young folk welcome-- at certain point we refrain from talking...which may be difficult for young children

What to Expect

While releasing expectations has its virtues, here is the format of what happens: People arrive to a generally dim lit and ambient room, take off their shoes, get their stuff settled, their bottles of water handy and stretch out to the music. A formal warm-up will start that will loosen us up and introduce the evening. There will be an opportunity to get present to what your dancing IN...this moment, this evening...this life...however it occurs for you. There are infinite choices...common themes are...peace, joy, release, healing, grief, gratitude...whatever is alive for YOU. This can be thought of ahead of time or be a spontaneous ( and optional ) sharing thrown in . The music will start and follow a natural work-out rhythm structure...starting slow, building up, and ending with a generally meditative piece. This portion is free-flow take at your own pace, follow Your body...it can be very personal or interactive-where ever You feel to BE in each moment... Often we can enjoy inspiration by the collection of moving shapes in the room. We circle at the end for a closing exercise and sometimes 'break bread' together with some healthy-ish treats and share relevant announcements before we end.
All that said...expect nothing, just come open to move and see what happens.
